Advent at Zion

Advent at Zion

Advent at Zion

Advent means "coming," and the season of Advent is a period of preparing for the coming of Christ. While December has become one of the busiest and most hectic months of the year, it can and should be one of the most prayerful and peaceful.

In order to help cultivate that at Zion, we hope you will take advantage of two things: First, Advent devotionals are available, free of charge, at each exit of the Sanctuary. The primary part of the devotionals is a Bible-reading plan, which is meant to help us listen to the Lord each day. Please do pick one up next time you're at Zion.

Second, we are also having Candlelit Compline services each Wednesday at 6:00 p.m. These are quiet, end-of-day services filled with prayer, silence, and listening to readings from God's Word. The intention is to re-center us on the Lord and give us his peace. We hope that you will join us for at least one Wednesday service (if not all three!).

Wishing you a blessed and peaceful Advent.
