Classes

Classes for adults are held regularly at Zion, primarily on Sunday mornings at 9:15 but also occasionally during the week. Currently two classes are being taught:

The Reason for God

Beginning Sunday, January 7, Pastor Garrett is teaching a 6-week course titled "The Reason for God." This is a DVD-based course with videos by best-selling author and pastor Timothy Keller. In the videos, Tim Keller explores the reasonableness of the Christian faith and seeks to ask genuine questions that any skeptic might have (e.g. "Isn't the Bible a myth? Why would God allow suffering?"). The class meets in the Zion Library at 9:15 a.m. on Sundays.

Mere Theology: Intelligent Engagement With Modern Challenges to Faith

Beginning Sunday, January 14, Music Director Keith Kirchartz is teaching a 5-week course on the Christian worldview and how to engage the challenges of modern science and the new atheism. Based on the book, The Passionate Intellect, by Alistair McGrath. The class meets in the Zion Sanctuary at 9:15 a.m. on Sundays.
