Mission, Vision, & Values

Mission: Why We Exist

Zion exists to bring people into covenantal relationship with the Lord (Matthew 28:19-20), and to equip them for personal growth and impact (Ephesians 4:11-16).

Vision: What We Strive to Be

A multi-generational, closely-knit community that is Christ-centered and Spirit-filled.

Multi-generational: That our community consist of every living generation, worshiping side-by-side. That there be ministry for people in every stage of life.

Closely-knit: That our community be marked by strong friendships and mutual support. That we pray fervently for each other.

Christ-centered: That every ministry, and especially every worship service, point to the person and work of Jesus Christ.

Spirit-filled: That the whole congregation, and each individual within it, rely not on our own power, but the Spirit's. That the church be passionate and prayerful.

Values: Shaping Our Life Together

Biblical Fidelity: To be faithful, in both our teaching and our living, to the Holy Scriptures.

Personal Conversion: For each person to undergo conversion to Christ, growing into his likeness through lifelong repentance and faith.

Edifying Community: To be a closely-knit community that supports and prays for each other.

Vocational Faithfulness: To “equip the saints” for living-out the gospel within the context of our everyday vocations – as spouses, parents, and children; at work, at home, and in the community.

Compelling Witness: For our lives, including both our words and our way of life, to be a testament to the power of God’s grace.
