Reformation Weekend

Reformation Weekend

Please join us for special worship the weekend of October 28-29 as we commemorate the 500-year anniversary of the Reformation. Martin Luther sparked the beginning of this movement on October 31, 1517, when he proposed 95 theses for debate in the church. (Legend has it that Luther nailed the 95 theses to the castle-church door in Wittenberg, Germany, but that most likely didn't happen.) What followed was an outpouring of God's Spirit, wherein the church became increasingly centered on God's Word and the Gospel of Jesus Christ.

At worship on Reformation Weekend there will be many of the elements that Martin Luther incorporated into the German Mass, as well as a message containing the central points of the Reformation. We hope to see you there.
