The sacraments of Holy Baptism and Holy Communion are central to the life of faith. In the words of Saint Augustine, the sacraments are visible signs of God's invisible grace. They tell us of God's will toward us - namely, to forgive our sin and give us new life in Christ.
Baptism is a seal of God's promise to its recipient - that He will be their God and Father. Zion baptizes people of any age, from infants to the elderly. If you or your child have not been baptized, and you would like to arrange that, we would be honored and overjoyed to. Simply call the Zion office.
Communion is the sacrament whereby Christ gives himself to us. Bread and wine become the body and blood of Christ, given to us for the forgiveness of sin and the gift of new life. Zion celebrates this sacrament at every service, every week. Who may participate? All baptized Christians who are sincerely repentant from their sin and trust in the mercy of Christ.
